> ## Documentation Index > Fetch the complete documentation index at: https://www.worldmonitor.app/docs/llms.txt > Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further. # World Monitor terms of service and acceptable use > Terms governing World Monitor: acceptable use, intelligence-data disclaimer, API and MCP usage, subscriptions and billing, IP, and liability limits. *Last updated: 27 July 2026* These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the World Monitor dashboard, website, API, MCP server, SDKs, and apps (the "Service"), operated by World Monitor, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. This page is written in plain language and is not legal advice. ## The Service World Monitor aggregates and presents real-time global intelligence from many third-party and open sources, with automated and AI-generated analysis layered on top. The basic dashboard is available without an account. Additional features are available on paid Pro plans. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. ## Accounts Some features require an account, provided through our authentication providers. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and any API keys secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. ## Acceptable use You agree not to: * use the Service unlawfully, or to harm, harass, surveil, or endanger any person; * exceed published rate limits, or circumvent quotas, authentication, or access controls; * scrape, resell, or redistribute the data or Service except as expressly permitted by your plan, these Terms, and the source licenses; * disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure; * misrepresent affiliation with or endorsement by World Monitor (see the [Trademark Policy](/docs/trademark-policy)). ## Intelligence disclaimer **Read this carefully.** World Monitor aggregates data from third-party and open sources and generates automated and AI analysis. This information: * is provided **"as is" and "as available"**, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any purpose; * may be delayed, incomplete, wrong, or misattributed, and may reflect the errors of its underlying sources; * is **not** professional advice — not financial, investment, legal, security, medical, or safety advice. **Do not rely on the Service for decisions where errors could cause loss or harm** — including trading, travel, security, or life-safety decisions — without independently verifying the information. AI-generated briefings and forecasts are probabilistic and can be confidently wrong. You are solely responsible for how you use the information. ## API, MCP, and programmatic access Programmatic use through the REST API and MCP server is subject to these Terms, the [API documentation](https://www.worldmonitor.app/docs), and any plan-specific rate limits and quotas. Keep your API keys confidential; you are responsible for usage attributed to your keys. We may throttle, suspend, or revoke access for abuse or to protect the Service. ## Subscription license scope Paid plans grant a limited, non-exclusive right to use the hosted Service and its outputs during an active subscription, subject to these Terms, the limits of the plan you purchased, and any order form or written agreement with us. "Outputs" include dashboard views, alerts, reports, exports, API and MCP responses, and analysis created from them. The right plan depends on who uses the Service and who receives its outputs: | Plan license | What it covers | What it does not cover | | ------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Personal license (Pro)** | One named subscriber using World Monitor for their own research, learning, investing, and personal decision-making. | Use on behalf of an employer, business, client, or other organization; shared accounts; client deliverables; internal or customer-facing products; redistribution. | | **Commercial license (Pro Business)** | One named subscriber using the Pro dashboard, exports, and included MCP / SDK allowance for company or client work, including analysis, reports, presentations, and internal tools used in that licensed user's workflow. Reports and analysis may be shared with colleagues or clients as part of that work. | Shared login access; organization-wide programmatic deployments; customer-facing data products; live feeds; bulk or standalone data redistribution. | | **Commercial license — for your organization (API Starter)** | The subscribing organization using the API and SDKs in its own internal systems, dashboards, automations, research, and reporting. Employees and contractors may use the resulting internal tools and outputs for that organization. | Making World Monitor data or API functionality available to customers or other third parties; customer-facing products; resale; external feeds; bulk or standalone data redistribution. | | **Commercial license — for your customers (API Business)** | Everything in API Starter, plus displaying, embedding, or delivering World Monitor API outputs to customers as part of the subscribing organization's own product or service. The five included Pro seats are for named users at the same organization and may not be shared. | Reselling API keys or access to the Service; offering World Monitor data as a standalone database or substantially similar feed; enabling bulk extraction that substitutes for the Service; white-labeling or uses that require custom rights unless we agree in writing. | | **Enterprise** | The rights stated in the applicable order form, such as additional seats, higher-volume distribution, white-labeling, dedicated deployments, or on-premises use. | Any use outside the signed order form and these Terms. | Examples: * an individual using Pro to research their own portfolio is covered by the Personal license; * a consultant using Pro Business to prepare a client report is covered by the Pro Business commercial license; * a company feeding API data into a private employee risk dashboard needs API Starter; * a software company showing API data inside a customer-facing product needs API Business; * a standalone data feed, bulk resale, white-label product, or custom deployment requires an Enterprise agreement or our written approval. If your use expands beyond the scope of your plan, you must upgrade or obtain written permission before that expanded use begins. Plan names describe the hosted-Service rights above; they do not replace the separate source-code licenses. ### Rules that apply to every plan * A seat belongs to one named user. Credentials, sessions, license keys, and API keys may not be sold, transferred, published, or shared outside the people and systems authorized by the plan. * Customer redistribution under API Business must be part of a product or service with material value beyond providing a copy of World Monitor data. * Attribution to World Monitor is optional for reports, presentations, and derived analysis permitted by your plan. If you choose to credit us, "Source: World Monitor" or "via World Monitor" is sufficient. You must still preserve any source-specific citation, attribution, timestamp, license notice, or usage restriction supplied with an output. * A plan grants only rights that World Monitor can grant. Third-party data remains subject to its provider's license and terms, which may impose additional restrictions. * No plan transfers ownership of the Service or underlying data, grants trademark or branding rights, or permits you to imply that World Monitor endorses your product. * When a subscription ends, you may retain reports and analysis lawfully created during the subscription, but you must stop fetching, refreshing, distributing, or operating integrations that require an active entitlement. These subscription licenses apply to the hosted Service and its outputs. The World Monitor source code remains subject to AGPL-3.0-only, and the official thin client packages remain subject to MIT; see the [License](/docs/license). A subscription does not grant the right to incorporate AGPL-covered World Monitor code into a proprietary product or keep a covered modified deployment private. ## Subscriptions and billing Paid plans are sold and processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record; payments and any refunds are handled by Dodo Payments, and by subscribing you also agree to its terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time — cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable consumer-protection law. Prices and plan features may change with notice for future billing periods. ## Intellectual property The World Monitor platform source code is licensed under AGPL-3.0-only, with certain client packages under MIT — see the [License](/docs/license). The World Monitor name, logo, and branding are **not** covered by the code license; see the [Trademark Policy](/docs/trademark-policy). Underlying data belongs to its respective sources and is subject to their licenses and terms. ## Third-party sources and links The Service incorporates data and links from third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sources, their accuracy, or their availability, and inclusion does not imply endorsement. ## Disclaimer of warranties The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the maximum extent permitted by law. ## Limitation of liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, World Monitor and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100 if you paid nothing. ## Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold harmless World Monitor and its operator from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms. ## Changes to these Terms We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. ## Governing law These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
